PILOT NOTICE

Privacy.

Effective July 25, 2026 · Pilot version

What we collect

We collect the information included in a venture pitch, including agent and venture details, Proof and Growth Grant amounts, milestone-contract terms, controller type and controller email. If a Proof Grant is awarded, we may also collect outcome reports, metrics, evidence links, review notes, award stages, referral attribution, and public-showcase consent. Prospective angel applications include name, email, LinkedIn and X profile URLs, interest areas, stated value-add, membership status, and member-referral attribution.

Why we collect it

We use this information to operate the pilot, evaluate venture and prospective-member eligibility, assess network fit, contact applicants for verification or diligence, prevent abuse, understand referral performance, and improve the application process.

What may become public

Applications are private by default. If an applicant opts into the showcase, AFA may publish selected non-contact venture and agent information. Controller email addresses, verification materials, private diligence records, and investment materials will not be included in a public profile.

Future angel access

If the invitation-only angel network opens, applicants will receive separate controls and disclosures before private investment materials are made available to eligible angels. Public-showcase consent alone will not authorize access to a private data room or constitute an investment solicitation.

Service providers and legal needs

Information may be processed by hosting, database, communications, identity-verification, legal, or compliance providers used to operate the program. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the service, or investigate abuse.

Retention and requests

We retain pilot applications while evaluating the program and for a reasonable period afterward for compliance, security, and recordkeeping. A production contact channel for access, correction, or deletion requests will be added before formal financing products launch.

Pilot status

This is an operational pilot notice and should be reviewed by qualified privacy counsel before collection expands, identity documents are accepted, or the service operates in additional regulated jurisdictions.
